Special attention is paid to the digitalization of processes in sport, as well as the management of sports infrastructure, the use of EU funds and other forms of international cooperation.
As part of the topic of digitization, the delegation of the Computer Centre of the Faculty of Technical Sciences of the University of Novi Sad, which in cooperation with the Sports and Youth Directorate of the City of Novi Sad developed an innovative software solution, presented itself to the attendees. The talks were focused, among other things, on the process of candidacy of the City of Novi Sad for the title of European City of Sport, which further confirms the city’s strategic commitment to the development of a modern and inclusive sports policy.
Tatjana Medved, a member of the City Council for Sports and Youth, said that Novi Sad, led by Mayor Žarko Mićini, is working intensively on the development of sports programmes that include all categories of the population – from children and young people, through recreationists, to people with disabilities.
“Digitalization in sport, as well as the use of international funds, are key tools in our further development. We very much appreciate the opportunity to share our experiences with colleagues from Podgorica, but also to hear their challenges and solutions, because only with a joint approach can we improve sports in the region – said Tatjana Medved.
This meeting is a significant step towards strengthening intercity and international cooperation in the field of sport and opens up opportunities for joint projects and initiatives in the future.
