Member of the City Council for Sports and Youth of the City of Novi Sad, Tatjana Medved, participated in the panel discussion ‘Sport and Youth’ within the fifth Futog Youth Forum, organised by the citizens’ association ‘Support the Youth’, the largest youth organisation in this suburban area.
They discussed the needs of young people, access to sports programs and work engagements in the field of sports, volunteering in sports, challenges related to access to physical activities and health care, as well as the creation of sustainable support models that integrate sport, health, education and active participation of young people in the community.

Tatjana Medved pointed out that the City of Novi Sad is systematically and continuously strengthening youth support mechanisms, developing partnerships with local organisations and building a connected, sustainable, functional and strong system in which institutions, organisations, sports, youth and youth policies work together, in order to enable young people to develop, be visible and fully participate in social processes.

For the past five years, the Futoga Youth Forum has been a recognizable platform for dialogue between institutions, organizations and young people, with a clear mission to strengthen local capacities and encourage youth activism. This year’s emphasis is placed on the possibility of doubling and integrating activities in the field of sports and youth in the coming year in the light of the prestigious European titles that Novi Sad has won – European Youth Capital and European City of Sport 2026.
