Member of the City Council for Sports Tatjana Medved opened the International Para Swimming Competition “Serbia Open 2025”, which was held at the swimming pools of the Sports Center “Futog”. The competition is organized under the auspices of the Paralympic Committee of Serbia, and is implemented by the Sports Swimming Association of Persons with Disabilities “Winner 021”.
“The City of Novi Sad proudly supports the development of inclusive sport and especially appreciates the efforts of all those who work to make sport accessible to all. I would like to thank the Paralympic Committee of Serbia and the Sports Swimming Association of Persons with Disabilities “Pobednik 021” for the exceptional organization and enthusiasm they have been investing in the promotion of parasport for years. The City supports all sports and sports disciplines in all ages, categories, and especially work with children and people with disabilities, providing maximum support at all levels, regardless of whether it is a professional or recreational sport. This has certainly contributed to the prestigious title of European City of Sport 2026. This competition is not just a sporting event – it is a symbol of strength, perseverance and togetherness. With your effort and dedication, you show that boundaries exist only when we accept them ourselves. You are a true example that with courage and will everything can be achieved – said Tatjana Medved.
The competition was attended by 70 competitors from 15 clubs from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Montenegro and Serbia. They competed in all age categories and swimming styles in the 50 and 100 meters.
